Anastazia Neely

Anastazia is an educator, writer, philanthropist, and diversity practitioner who believes that each child has a special gift to offer humanity. A Fulbright award recipient and a graduate of both Hampton University (Virginia) and Columbia University (New York), Anastazia has over 10 years of experience in teaching and learning.

Ms. Neely, as she's known to her students, has worked in public, charter, private, and independent schools both stateside and abroad in Taiwan and Japan. Outside of her own classroom, Anastazia shares her expertise with pre-service teachers as an adjunct lecturer at Hunter College and at various professional conferences. Her most recent presentation at the 2019 National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Annual Conference, entitled "Radical Love," implored educators to break the cycle of socialization by connecting with their students on a soul level.

All of Anastazia's pursuits - past, present, and future - serve her vision to create a world where Black and Brown children are continuously affirmed and deeply loved.
