Emilee is a leader who works to develop strong leaders to build strong communities. She leads teams, volunteers with youth and coaches adult learners to inspire a commitment to continuous improvement in the  education and non-profit sectors. 

As the current Chief Talent Officer at Public Preparatory Network in New York City, Emilee oversees all Human Resources and talent strategy for the network of schools. Before joining the Public Prep team,  Emilee was the Director of Operations at one of Public Prep’s schools,  Girls Prep Lower East Side Middle School. In this role, she oversaw finance, HR and all school operations for the campus. She also coached girls’ basketball at Girls Prep Lower East Side Middle School. 

Emilee is committed to addressing social justice issues through adult learning and organizational development. Through her work, she has fostered partnerships with various consultants, non-profits and institutions of higher education to bring resources to Public Preparatory Network.  

A graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in Child Development and Family Studies, Emilee also earned a Master’s degree in Education, Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and holds a professional certificate in Leadership and Organizational Development from New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. 

Emilee is a devout mother, dedicated aunt and adoring godmother. She was a cast member of Aspire Network’s digital series, The Graduates NYC, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She currently lives in New York.
